1. Operator, Scope, and Effective Date

This Privacy Policy explains how ShiftAtMidnightDB (the “Site”) handles information when you visitShiftAtMidnightDB. The Site is operated from China by WanZiLuStudio (丸子录工作室). References to “we”, “us” or “our” mean the operator of the Site. This policy takes effect on August 6, 2026.

2. Information Processed and Purposes

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically process certain information, including:

• your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
• your browser, device, and operating system information;
• pages you view, referring/exit pages, and timestamps;
• diagnostic and interaction data.

We use this information to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the Site, understand how visitors use it, and improve content and performance.

The Site does not operate accounts, purchases, comments, subscriptions, or a contact form. Site search uses URL query parameters; please do not enter personal information in search queries or URLs.

3. Current Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate and understand the Site:

• Cloudflare — for hosting, content delivery, and security. See theCloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — for traffic statistics. GA4 currently loads on Site pages. The Site has not implemented Google Consent Mode or a consent management platform that blocks GA4 before consent. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity — for website usage analysis, heatmaps, and session recordings. Clarity may process interaction, device, browser, and usage information under its own policies. See theMicrosoft Privacy Statement.

Google AdSense is used to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address, and similar signals to serve, measure, and limit the frequency of ads, prevent fraud, and produce reports. Depending on your location, settings, and available consent, ads may be personalized using information about your activity, or may be non-personalized and selected from page context instead. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping and aggregate reporting. See Google's advertising technologies and Privacy Policy.

The Site links to Steam pages and may load resources hosted by Steam, which can send requests to Steam. This policy does not cover information collected by Steam. Please review theSteam Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising Cookies, Consent, and Choices

The Site and the services listed above may use cookies, advertising IDs, IP addresses, and similar technologies. Google AdSense may use them to recognize a browser or device, show personalized or non-personalized ads, measure performance, cap repetition, and detect invalid activity. Google may combine information collected through this Site with information collected through other services under its own policies. Third-party advertisers and measurement providers may also process information under their own privacy policies.

We do not currently provide an on-site consent banner, rejection button, or consent management platform. Where Google or applicable law provides a consent choice, use the controls presented by Google or your browser. Review or change ad personalization in Google Ads Settings or My Ad Center. You can manage cookies and site data through browser settings. Turning off personalized ads does not necessarily stop advertising or all measurement. Industry opt-out choices are also available fromYourAdChoices andNAI. These controls are device- and browser-specific.

The Site stores your language selection or dismissal of the language suggestion in your browser's local storage under samdb-locale-choice. This functional setting is used only to remember your choice and avoid showing the same suggestion repeatedly. You can remove it through your browser's site-data settings.

5. Retention, Rights, International Processing, Security, Children, Contact, and Changes

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described, subject to each provider's own retention policies. Information may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States, by Cloudflare, Google, and Microsoft. We rely on reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction or objection to certain processing, data portability, or withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify a request, and these rights are subject to legal exceptions. You can contact Google directly about information it processes for advertising through its privacy and ad settings.
